With over 55,000 acres of terrain to explore, Vail Snowmobile Rentals are the perfect way to discover Colorado's pristine backcountry at your own pace. The Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area provides snowmobilers with over 80 miles of groomed trails and offers over 200 powder fields atop the Continental Divide for guests who would prefer to blaze their own.
Self-Guided Snowmobile Rentals are available in 2 hour, 4 hour, and 8 hour sessions. Rentals depart our Camp Hale base camp on the tops of the hours beginning at 9:00 am daily.
Snowmobile Rentals are available for both Single and Double machines. Single riders can opt for base-level Polaris 550 Touring Machines or upgrade to the powder-capable Polaris 600 RMK HO. Double riders receive Polaris 550 Touring Snowmobiles.
Helmets are included in the cost of all Vail Snowmobile Rentals. Snowsuits, boots and goggles are available for a small additional charge.

Additional Information:
- Vail Snowmobile Rentals include a helmet for each rider. Snowsuits, boots and goggles are available for rent for an additional fee.
- Vail Snowmobile Rental prices include gas, tax and National Forest Service user fees of $6 per person.
- Drivers must be 14 years of age to operate a Touring Snowmobile, 16 years of age to operate a High Performance Snowmobile.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all Vail Snowmobiling Rentals.
- A signed liability waiver for personal injury is required prior to Vail Snowmobile Rental departure.
- All Snowmobile Rentals have a 72-hour cancellation policy.
